John Scott is the founder of Fraser Scott & Co and the driving force behind ‘So, You’ve Built Yourself a Job?’ He has spent more than 30 years helping business owners move from firefighting in the day-to-day to building companies that thrive without them.
Drawing on his experience as both a chartered accountant and an entrepreneur, John has advised businesses across professional services, trades, creative industries, and technology. He has seen first-hand the stress that comes when growth outpaces structure — and the freedom that comes when owners step into the CEO role they imagined at the start.
Through his writing, toolkits, and advisory work, John combines plain-spoken advice with practical systems that business owners can actually use. His focus is always on clarity, action, and building businesses that create both wealth and a better life for their owners.
